Happy New Year 2002!
We are all looking forward to the New Year with the tragedies of 2001 forever in our memories but are looking toward a positive future in 2002.
Here at Greenwood we had the Christmas Tree up and the holiday music playing as the resort filled up with guests for the holidays. The New Years Eve party was enjoyed by guests and Cat Islanders alike. A deejay was spinning CDs for dancing and a large fire blazed on the beach. Everyone enjoyed themselves and only a few over-enjoyed!
The Jacuzzi has been providing warm relaxation on these cool nights of January as guests soak under the stars with a cool beverage in their hand.... Speaking of those relaxing with a cool beverage, returning for their second visit were Dana and Guido from New York, they filled their time here as usual; sun, sand and grilled cheese sandwiches.
With the boats moored at the Cutlass Bay dock it has made diving a smooth operation with easier access to the Hunkadunk and Sea Sleeve. We welcome a new couple to the Greenwood family, Kati and Arno are our divemasters and SCUBA instructors. They have spent the last few weeks diving the seas with Waldemar and learning the sites and caves down there. Eddie has returned to Germany and we wish him the best in his future diving endeavors!
For those who have asked Whiskey (the German shepherd) is doing better, Ben the vet flew in and gave him a well needed once over and he has new medicine that should get him shipshape in no time. The rest of the zoo, Buddy, Kalik and Schnapsi the cat are doing fine.
Carol and Bob spent their happy honeymoon here with us and enjoyed the world above the water along with the undersea world. They are in Greenwood history as being the first to play tennis on the new court at Cutlass and Carol being the first to twist and ankle there!
Anna & Waldemar are here at Greenwood, and Flo is in Germany minding the homefront and doing well. The not so reliable freight service has held up materials for Cutlass Bay and Chris is working hard, looking forward to opening day for the restaurant and clubhouse in the next month or two.
Timm is taking a well deserved vacation (!) to Mexico and will soon return to his painting in Barcelona. Dean as always is here telling his island stories while trying to convince people he is really writing a book.
Your Friends at Greenwood, Chris, Tim, Flo, Anna & Waldemar and Dean too
